(( Winter Still ))

12 March 08 - 14:45

With Easter coming up I want to do a lot of springtime activities with Vance.  Unfortunately, it doesn't feel like spring at all.  It has slowly been warming up and some of the snow has melted, but we have a ways to go before it is gone and you never know around here when the next snowstorm will hit and backtrack everything.  I say when because there is always a snowstorm sometime in the "spring".  Anyway, we are taking it easy for a few days before we celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Spring, and Easter.  I'm posting the latest origami thing that Stephen has done.  We're going to frame it and hang it up somewhere.  The other day he said he thought he should start a blog just to put all of his origami stuff on and I hope he gets around to doing that.

I really like to get comments on ...

(( Scarves and Bean Bags ))

11 March 08 - 15:11

I don't know if you'd call that a scarf or not, but Vance had a lot of fun with them today.  I also made a few bean bags for him to play with.

It's hanging out on his foot.  We cleaned Vance's room on Saturday and were appalled with all the junk he has collected in his short two years of life.  We got rid of some things and put a lot of toys that he doesn't play with in a box.  We decided he doesn't need anything big or small for a long time...yet here I am making him bean bags and scarves.  Go figure.  If he doesn't play with them much I guess I'll be adding to that box, but he had fun with them today.

(( Tanner's Room ))

10 March 08 - 19:55

I finally have one room that I am satisfied with to post pictures of.  I made Tanner some curtains for his room today so it is complete.  At least until I decide to add or rearrange soemthing.

I chose the worst time of the day to take a picture in his room with the sun blaring in through the window, but here's an idea of what it looks like from the doorway.  I really wanted Classic Pooh curtains, but not badly enough to pay $20 a yard for them, so this regular Pooh fabric was the winner.  Actually, I bought it last year to put in Vance's room when we lived at our trailer and never made them.

(( Sleeping Babe ))

09 March 08 - 20:09

This is how we found Tanner sleeping tonight.  I love our camera, because aside from the light on the mobile it was dark in his room yet we still got a great picture of him.  He loves to snuggle with this blue lion he has a hold of.  What is more precious than a sleeping baby anyway?

(( Funny Boys ))

07 March 08 - 18:51

Vance thought it was fun to try on his dad's new work pants.

Before his bath tonight I wrapped Tanner up in a blanket.

  I love my boys!

(( Family Fun ))

06 March 08 - 15:07

We took some pictures last night when we were playing with the boys before we went to bed.  I haven't figured out how to do videos yet on this, but here are some pictures.

Tanner loves to eat my face!  Vance and Stephen were doing a fun game.  Stephen would puff out his checks and Vance would squish them back together.

As you can tell Vance thought this was a great game.

Yes, that is what we all looked like when the bishop came over...

(( Horton Hatches an Egg ))

06 March 08 - 15:02

There's a cute song that I learned from being a preschool major.  I don't know if anyone else knows it.  Here are the words:

One Elephant went out to play On a spider's web one day.  He had such enormous fun, he called for another elephant to come.

Then you continue you on with two, three, four, and so forth.  Anyway, I thought it'd be fun to make a spiderweb out of masking tape (putting it on the floor) and let Vance walk around with his fingerpuppet while I sang the song.

There were a couple of problems I ran into though.  First, I couldn't find all of my masking tape so I used what I could find, which wasn't much and so it looked nothing like it was suppose to, second Vance ripped the puppet before ... (more)
